IIRC this was also not too long after Fenty Beauty had launched an astounding shade range for time, and especially at a really decent price point. I remember Lancome and Estee Lauder had great ranges, but were just too expensive (especially for college students lol). So all this buzz and excitement around shade ranges and the new direction of beauty, only for Tarte to drop... this. That same year I think both IT cosmetics and Beauty Blender came under fire for the same reason (and Beauty Blender's foundation was iconically terrible anyway). And then Too Faced specifically collab'd with Jackie Aina to develop not only one shade that fit her perfectly, but a whole range of shades for darker skin tones. God, I have no idea why this is all flooding back to me so many years later lol. Really fascinating time in beauty and make-up.

Fenty Beauty By RihannaPro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation: I'm still testing out the foundation to see if it works on my oily, dehydrated skin. It doesn't help that I'm adding new Asian beauty products into my routine, so I don't want to irritate my skin at the moment. I got 5 new face products that I wanna try out. If there's anything I learned, it's that you have to use a new product one at a time and try it out for a couple of weeks to see if it does anything. It'll take a while, but thankfully, Fenty foundations aren't going anywhere so I have plenty of time.

I know someone people experienced oxidation with the fenty foundation. also whats ur skin type? because it can also cling to dry spots if you don’t properly moisturize before or u have dry skin (since the foundation is meant for oily and combo skin)

I agree that 110 is basically perfect and matches your wrist and neck. If it’s too light for your face even after blush etc., mix with 120 or 125. 🤍

Loved it. Buildable medium to high, higher than a skin tint. Satin/natutal mat. Doesnt oxidyze like the profilt'r one. Great wear test, didnt move.
