Pyunkang Yul essence toner

I have this toner, it’s awesome. It adds extra weightless hydration to your face without creams. It’s basically glycerin and hialuronic acid. Toners can do many things, clean, ph balance, close pores, exfoliate etc. This one adds hydration.

I bought this toner after reading the multiple rave reviews on this sub. Now I'm adding mine to this sub.😍🥳 I'm started using tret a few months ago so my skin gets irritated sometimes so I wanted a soothing toner. This does the job instantly. It's hydrating and plumps up my skin. I use it with other hydrating toners as well. It's very basic, it just hydrates and soothes. The plus is that the ingredients list is very short so there is less chance for irritation. I have used many other hydrating toners like isntree green tea toner and haru haru black rice toner, I feel this one is more calming and hydrating. Texture - thick viscous toner, with a serum/gel like texture. I like slightly thicker toners so I loved this texture. Final verdict - great toner for sensitive skin and for those who want a lot of hydration and something calming . WRP❤️

This minimal (essence) toner has only 7 ingredients, and is meant for soothing and hydrating sensitive and irritated skin. The main selling point of the toner is the use of Mongolian Milkvetch extract in the place of water, a plant used in Chinese and Korean traditional medicine (hanbang) to strengthen the immune system and promote wound healing; it also contains a fair amount of antioxidants. However I couldn't find enough studies on it to conclude on its effectiveness in skincare. The toner is quite light and watery with a slight viscosity to it, it spreads out nicely and is quickly absorbed. It is immediately hydrating and makes the skin feel soft and supple. There is no notable scent to it, and other products can be layered on top with no problem. Personally I am ambivalent to this product as my skin had a reaction to it the first time I used it, possibly because of the milkvetch extract. After a couple of uses my skin got used to it and I now use it as a hydrating toner. It doesn't seem to hurt my skin but it doesn't seem to do all that much either. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀: hydrating, gentle 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀: effectiveness of milkvetch in skincare isn't well-studied 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: - Astragalus Membranaceus (Mongolian Milkvetch: antioxidants, possibly anti-inflammatory and immune boosting) 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Arginine

I purchased this toner after I saw Gothamista ( I think that’s her YT name) use it as a 7 layer method and saw her face glow right before my eyes and was sold. She recommended this as a one and only method for oily combo girls in the summer and it truly works. It’s great for my skin and leaves it very hydrated in the best subtle way

I've used it for a couple of years (went through like 8 bottles) back when I knew far less about skincare after being influenced by youtubers. It's an inoffensive non-irritating toner but there are much better options on the market atm. It is somewhat hydrating but did nothing for my oily acne-prone skin in the long term.
