This type of packaging isn't there to fool you, it's there to *benefit* you. The container is airless so as you take product out the bag shrinks, that way there is always product near the opening of the pump, instead of stuck at the bottom and on the walls like you get with regular pump packaging. Additionally, the airless packaging protects the contents from oxidation caused by exposure to oxygen, keeping the product effective for longer. Sunday Riley isn't being sneaky at all. Half ounce is just not a large volume.
