Editorial Summary: Hooga red‑light lineup = wallet‑friendly panels that pump out solid 660 / 850 nm power; Reddit vets swear the Pro‑300‑ish rigs light face, chest, scalp and hands, still running like new after 4 years, and cost half an Omnilux. Hooga Masks? totally hit‑or‑miss—wonky low‑forehead cutout, loose straps, half the LEDs, “blinded myself” complaints—so most users bail and grab a Hooga Red Light panel instead. Verdict: grab the panel for versatile, spec‑checked glow on a budget, but expect white‑label vibes and skip the mask unless your head’s “threehead” size.
Methodology: Analyzed 47 quotes from Reddit posts across 18 skincare and red light therapy subreddits between 2018-05-18 and 2025-07-01, prioritizing recurring themes and highly scored comments to synthesize pros, cons, and user FAQs.

I bought the Hooga mask and am so upset with the odd shape of it. The forehead area is so low. I have a medium sized forehead and this doesn’t even cover my forehead all the way. I was also hoping that it would reach into/past my hairline to help revive my hair growth. I tried moving it up higher and blinded myself 🫶 0/10 recommend unless you have a 1.5 inch forehead. I should have just got a damn panel.
I recommend going to r/redlighttherapy . A lot of brand name panels are actually cheap from China and they slap their brand on it. Like you can get a hooga panel for cheap from Ali baba, but it wont have the hooga label. The sub i listed has a good list of dealers if you search through it
Girl my face is so sensitive and me-shaped I just got a panel (from Hooga, actually) and I’m loving that for me. I failed at exactly one mask and fluttered on
Everyone should just get a panel. Much more versatile and you'll see the same benefits. I've been using my Hooga panel for over 4 years and it still works like new.
**Joovv:** only 660nm and 850nm **Hooga:** only 660nm and 850nm
I have a threehead so this could work for me 😂
I was going to buy a mask but decided to go with a panel instead and am really happy. Did a ton of research and went with Hooga. You can use it for your whole body which is why I went with a panel.
I dno... I thought I had a normal sized face and it fits me fine
